The Lavender Hill Mob is a TV show on BBC2. One of the most famous of the 1950s Ealing comedies. An unassuming bank clerk, in charge of gold bullion deliveries for almost 20 years, hatches a plot to steal a consignment. His plan comes to fruition when a lodger who owns a small foundry making Eiffel Tower paperweights arrives at his digs. The program has been available since 2024.
