Nine Minute Ninja
Nine Minute Ninja is a program for youth on CBBC. He’s an expert animator with amazing art skills. His mission is to teach you his secrets and get you creating your own art. Some call him Ricky, we know him as the ART NINJA. The new series promises great art ideas, makes, mates and Ninja madness! The program has been available since 2024. A total of 24 episodes have been broadcast, most recently in July 2025.

Ricky is inspired by artist Iris Scott to paint with his fingers. He prints on a t-shirt using a box and string, and the Grand Master plays a prank with a finger in a box.
Ricky shows how to draw Dennis from Dennis and Gnasher Unleashed, splats a giant picture with cream pies, and the Grand Master plays a prank with a squeezy joke bottle.
Ricky checks out his arty features with a picture inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. He draws a realistic eye, and uses lipstick and kisses to bring a blank canvas to life.
Ricky loves a brainteaser and so makes an infinity photo cube. The Grand Master does a jailbreak magic trick, and a graffiti car comes to life when Ricky and his mates put the puzzle pieces together.
Ricky is inspired to make art using wool. He creates a bogie-faced knitting kit and a woolly dancer on acetate to brighten up his window.

Ricky makes art in nine minutes. Gav's keeping guard as Ricky gets gifts from a mystery superfan. Meanwhile Ricky makes an expensive-looking selfie.
Series 5
Ricky creates a gargoyle doorstop, shows how to draw a mythical unicorn and constructs a pair of ancient giant dinosaurs out of card at Bristol Museum.
Series 4
Ricky makes art in nine minutes. Not everything is as it seems, as the Grand Master makes art that colours itself. Ricky makes a silhouette look 3D.
Series 5
Ricky prepares for take-off, creating a Fortune Flamingo. He demonstrates how to draw a flying dragon and goes foraging in the woods to make a magnificent owl.
Series 4
Ricky makes art in nine minutes. Things get surreal in the Art Ninja flat when Gav and Sarah's pets start speaking. Also with crazy collage creatures.
Series 5
Ricky takes the plunge with some watery wonders and makes a turtle from rubbings. He also shows how to draw a shark and turn stairs into a giant crocodile.
Series 4
Ricky makes art in nine minutes. There's a party mood in the flat as the Grand Master makes a joke juice bottle and Ricky has a sweet trick for drawing a cake.
Series 5
Ricky creates some awesome animal art, including a wrapping paper collage, a pop-up cat card and a magnificent ping-pong ball chimp.
Series 4
Ricky makes art in nine minutes. Sarah turns up looking a little off-colour, while Ricky makes roarsome dragon feet for trainers.
Series 5
Ricky makes some mini masterpieces and a 3D shrunken scene, while the Grand Master constructs an enormous pencil.
It’s time for Ricky to get ahead of the game as he makes a fish which comes out the other side of his head, he draws a dynamic Danger Mouse and creates a magazine collage bursting with ideas.
Ricky gets arty with the alphabet, making some abstract letter art, a comic door sign and the Grand Master appears to create a secret message magnifying glass.
